PASTOR LARRY J. THOMPSON

Pastor Larry J. Thompson is a visionary driven by an unmatched zeal for God and a champion of the Gospel of Grace.  Affectionately known as Pastor Larry, he is a leader with a genuine heart for all people.  Raised on the east side of the city of San Antonio, Pastor Larry credits all his success to the Godly upbringing given to him by his grandparents, Jesse and Mary Mosley. He says, “My grandparents gave me a lot of things, but the best gift they ever gave me was an introduction to Jesus Christ!”

Pastor Larry accepted his call to preach under the leadership of Pastor Michael S. Brown of True Vision Church and preached his first sermon in November of 2003.  Committed to excellence, and impelled by his call, Pastor Larry stepped out on faith and relocated to Nashville, Tennessee where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies with a minor in Pastoral Care from the American Baptist College.

While in seminary he attended the Greater Grace Temple Community Church where he served as Assistant Pastor under the leadership of Pastor Breonus M. Mitchell.  After graduating seminary in May of 2009, Pastor Larry returned to San Antonio, and became Pastoral Care Minister at True Vision Church where he served for a year before becoming the PROUD Pastor of The Tree Mount Temple Church.

Motivated by his love for people, his love for preaching, and an undying belief that NO ONE is beyond God’s reach, he delivers the word in a way that is best described as real and relevant. Pastor Larry’s ministry is stapled by powerful preaching, bold delivery, and an unusual anointing.  While the ministry of Pastor Larry has been bountifully blessed, he accredits his greatest accomplishment to fatherhood and loving his beautiful daughters, Sanaa, Journee, and Jeriko Thompson.
